Best time to visit Goa with friends
Goa is busiest from November to February, when the weather is dry and pleasant and beach shacks, markets and nightlife are all open. Stays and flights cost the most in this window, and around Christmas and New Year they are often booked weeks ahead, so book early if your group has fixed dates.
March to May is hot and humid but cheaper. June to September is monsoon: many shacks close, sea activities are restricted and some beaches are unsafe for swimming, but the green landscape and lower prices suit relaxed, non-beach plans. October is a good shoulder month.
Getting to Goa and getting around
Goa has two airports: Dabolim (Goa International) in the south and Manohar International at Mopa in the north. Choose the one closest to where you are staying, because the drive between North and South Goa can take well over an hour. Trains to Madgaon (south) and Thivim or Karmali (north) are popular budget options from Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
Most groups rent scooters or hire a car with a driver. Rented two-wheelers need a valid licence and helmets, and rules are enforced, so check before you ride. Splitting a single cab or tempo traveller across a larger group usually works out cheaper than separate rides.
A simple 3-day Goa plan for a group
Day 1 in North Goa: Candolim, Calangute and Baga beaches by day, then Anjuna or Vagator for sunset and a flea market or evening out. Day 2 for culture: Old Goa's churches, which include UNESCO World Heritage sites, then Fontainhas in Panaji and a river-side dinner.
Day 3 in South Goa: quieter beaches such as Palolem or Colva, a seafood lunch and an unhurried evening. Keeping North and South on separate days saves a lot of travel time. Add water sports or a spice plantation visit if your group wants a more active day.
Planning a Goa trip with a group in ROILLS
Create one shared trip in ROILLS, invite friends with a link, and put the day-wise plan where everyone can see it. Each person can add stops, notes and ideas, so the plan does not live in one organiser's head or a chat thread.
Log expenses as they happen, such as the cab, the stay, the meals and the entry tickets. ROILLS shows who paid, who owes and the final settlement, so nobody has to rebuild the maths on the last day.

Yes. ROILLS shows each member's share in real time as expenses are added during the trip.
Which is better for a friends trip, North Goa or South Goa?
North Goa suits groups who want beaches, nightlife, markets and water sports close together. South Goa is quieter, with wider beaches and a slower pace. Many groups split their trip, spending the first days in the north and the last in the south.
How many days are enough for a Goa group trip?
Three to four days covers the main beaches and a day of culture. A group that wants to see both North and South Goa without rushing is usually happier with four or five days.
